Who We Are

Who We Are

Amarillo Hispanic Mental Health Alliance (AHMHA) was founded in 2023, with the mission to create a space where mental health professionals can collaborate and network to better serve their clientele.

AHMHA is a local organization of mental health professionals, academics, researchers, and students whose objective is to generate and advance psychological knowledge and foster its effective application for the benefit of the Hispanic population.

Collectively we are interested in:

  • The mental health needs of individuals and groups who have a Hispanic background and live in Amarillo, Texas or the surrounding areas

  • Collaboration among similar providers and professionals

  • Creating a close-knit community with the ability to effectively and efficiently refer to one another in order to best meet the needs of our clientele and community

  • Meeting the first Friday of every month, to collaborate and network (see events tab)
